His designs are celebrated not just for their technical challenge, but for their profound ability to harmonize with the dramatic topography of the Canadian Rockies and the surrounding foothills.

Designer & Heritage

Stanley Thompson, often hailed as Canada’s greatest golf architect, brought a philosophy of "natural routing" to the region. His work prioritizes the existing contour of the land, ensuring that every hole feels like a discovery rather than an imposition. Players visiting these historic layouts encounter strategic bunkering and greens that demand a thoughtful approach, reflecting Thompson's signature style.

The Experience

Whether playing a championship-length test or a shorter, more intimate layout, the facilities associated with Thompson’s legacy in Alberta are designed to test every facet of a golfer's game. With yardages that cater to modern advancements in equipment while maintaining the integrity of the original design, these courses provide a masterclass in shot-shaping and short-game precision.
