Insch Golf Club: A Scottish Highland Classic

Located in the heart of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Insch Golf Club offers a quintessential parkland experience defined by its rolling terrain and sweeping views of the surrounding Garioch landscape. Originally established in the early 20th century (1923), the course has evolved into a well-regarded test for players of all skill levels.

Course Layout and Design

The 9-hole layout, later expanded to an 18-hole challenge, utilizes the natural undulations of the Scottish countryside to create a varied and engaging round. Stretching to 5,371 yards, the course prioritizes shot-making over raw distance. Golfers must navigate mature trees, strategically placed bunkers, and greens that require a delicate touch. The design reflects the traditional Scottish approach to golf, where the wind and the slope of the land are just as much a part of the game as the clubs in the bag.
